Pollution of Ganges River
The cause of the pollution of the Ganges river is because about 2 million tons of chemical, human, and agricultural wastes are poured into the river every day. Cities pour millions of gallons of sewage into the river that is carried to villages that are farther south. The affect of the pollution is that cities along the Ganges River have the highest rates of water-born diseases of anybody who lives in India. Outbreaks of these kinds of diseases as cholera, dysentery, typhoid, and hepatitis are very common. A solution for this problem is that indians can build some sewage and water treatment plants along the river.

Pollution of Yangtze River
The cause of the pollution in the Yangtze River is because tons of billion of chemicals and waste from agriculture, industry, and humans pour into the river each year. The affect of pollution puts all of the cities along its banks at risk. Many types of plants and animals are dying. Nitrates farm run-offs have caused algae in the water to multiply and is contaminating and killing the fish. A solution for this problem is that the Chinese government could build more water treatment facilities along the Yangtze’s banks. It encourages cities to build sanitary landfills for garbage rather than dumping it in the river.

Flooding in India
Monsoons are a mixed blessing for India. Farmers depend on the rain for their crops and the huge amounts of water are used to generate electricity. But, monsoons are also responsible for heavy floods. An affect is that monsoons are too severe, the rivers can overflow their banks and their waters can sweep over the land and when that happens airports would be closed, power lines would fall, some humans and animals could drown, and the water-borne illnesses would spread. A solution for the flooding is that the thampanoor and the East Fort could low-lie commercial areas in Thiruvananthapuram City. It floods when it rains.

Flooding in China
Monsoons are beneficial to farmers, but they also cause floods in China. China’s monsoon season runs from March through August. The affect is that when the river floods, homes and crops are buried and lives are lost. Flooding from China’s Huang He River has caused more deaths than any other river in the world. A solution for the flooding is that they could build a dam consolidation that controls and harnessing the river's tributaries and channels the river in the sea.
