Hinduism
Hinduism began in India it was brought to India by Aryan invaders. There is no founder it is hard to give an exact year of when it began. It was estimated to have started around 2500 BCE. 3 most important gods to Hinduism is Brahma - known as the Creator, Vishnu - known as the Preserver, and Shiva (Siva) - known as the Destroyer. Hindus believe that one’s ultimate goal should be to unite the soul with Brahman and to do this one must break the cycle of reincarnation.

Buddhism
Buddhism began in Northern India in around 533 BCE. It's founder was born into the Kshatriya caste. Siddhartha Gautama was seen as an enlightened teacher. Siddhartha Gautama wondered why there was so much suffering in the world, he believed that the cause of the suffering was because they wanted what we don't have, they wanted to keep what we have, and they didn't want what we disliked, but have. Buddhism followed the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. They believed that the Four Noble Truths meant that suffering is part of life, suffering comes from desire, people can overcome suffering and reach nirvana, and that by following the eightfold path it would lead to enlightenment and salvation. They believed that the Eightfold Path was “the middle way” between human desire and denying oneself of any pleasure.

Confucius was teaching about the family, in the teaching he said that Father's was the head of the family, Women would obey their husband, and the children had to obey their father. Han officials believed if people obey the father they will also obey the emperor. Confucius's teaching would focus on the ethics and proper behavior for individuals and government. Today China's religion in Confucianism is often blended with Daoism and Buddhism. Confucius argued that society would function best if everyone followed ren and li. Ren is the concern for others and li is the appropriate behavior.

Their shrines, in which they worship in, is built to worship a specific Kami. Kami is another name for Shinto gods and spirits, they can be forces of nature, important people, or natural objects. Shinto is polytheistic meaning many gods it also emphasizes love and respect of nature. The Tori gates often mark the entrance to a shrine.

The 5 Pillars of Faith are; Shahadah-sincerely reciting the Muslim profession of faith, Salat-performing ritual prayers in the proper way five times each day, Zakat-paying an alms (or charity) tax to benefit the poor and the needy, Sawm-fasting during the month of Ramadan, and Haji-pilgrimage to Mecca. There are two major sects in Islam, Sunni and Shi'a. Some refer the Sufis as a sect of Islam but, they are considered as Sunni. The largest Muslim population in a country is in Indonesia, Pakistan, and India
